Safari in Botswana, a visit to Victoria Falls and flights over the Okavango Delta and the falls, all in September. It is dry season: clear skies, rising heat and animals gathering near water. From the air, the delta is a mosaic of channels and green islands in a dry landscape, and the falls carry less water than after the rains, with less mist and the basalt cliff more in view.
